Girls in Action (GA’s)

WMU offers opportunities for girls to discover the joy of missions as they learn of the work of missionaries around the world. They begin to become aware of their part in God’s plan as they pray for missionaries, give to missions, and minister to others.

Through participation in Girls in Action, girls begin to realize their potential and worth as individuals. They become aware of God’s love for them and begin to understand that He loves people everywhere. Girls begin to recognize people who have needs and realize that God has given them skills and abilities they can use to help others.

GA also creates an excitement about missions learning and involvement. Missions can become an integral part of each girl’s daily life. GA can help girls become personally committed to missions and encourage other girls to be involved.

                      GA Motto: Go Forward!

                      GA Pledge:

“As a GA, I will do my best to live a mission’s lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions and participating in the work of the church.”

Girls in Action are for girls in grades 1 through 6. Meeting on Wednesday night, 6:45-7:30 p.m., August through May (when school is in session).
