Prayer & Visitation

Prayer for the body of believers is of utmost importance to us! Acts 2 tells us, "They devoted themselves to...prayer." Who devoted themselves? The fellowship of believers who were committed to the Way, or the cause of Christ. We believe there is power in prayer which is listening to and communicating with God. As scripture states, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7) Our prayer ministry team also helps to communicate visitation needs for those at home who desire a personal connection.

Learn

Learn is our way of expressing the importance of growing in our knowledge of God through the study of His word. Dale Harris is our Sunday School and small groups liaison. We have several classes who currently meet on a regular basis. Keeping our classes united and informed rests on the shoulders of this team. 1 Timothy 3:16-17 states, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." We are never commanded to stop learning, so we encourage all of our seniors to engage in a small group class.

Fellowship

Being together for the glory of God is vital to the life of S.A.M. We know Jesus prayed for the unity of all believers which was recorded in John 17: 21, "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." The desire of our Savior is for believers to be together, united, in such a way that the world takes notice. Pam Ouzts is our fellowship and events coordinator. We hope all of our seniors can connect with each other at our gatherings.

Go!

Go represents our desire to serve through missions and visitation. We desire to partner with our church in order to serve those in our community. Mark 16:15 states, "He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."
